What is breakfast?

The food that we eat everyday is often segmented by taste profile. My move to the USA was my first persistent encounter with sweet foods for breakfast. In an attempt to decode the social and dietary construct ‘breakfast’, I used a series of taste markers for various taste profiles and developed a model that would point towards my ideal breakfast from the perspective of taste. Like all models, this is a reductionist calculation of an ideal.
